This school assembly hall was designed as a shared space for gathering, events, and everyday school life. Through a community-led fundraising effort, the decision was made to invest in seating that felt more considered and long-lasting than standard plastic chairs.
Plywood chairs were selected for their strength, comfort, and natural finish, bringing warmth into a space often used for extended periods of sitting. The chairs are FSC certified, reflecting a commitment to responsible material sourcing. As part of the Ply Collection’s sustainability approach, trees are replanted after a set number of chairs are produced, helping support long-term environmental care.
By choosing durable, well-made seating with a clear sustainability story, the hall now supports assemblies, performances, and community events in a way that feels purposeful and thoughtfully considered.
